src/lsp/server.bend fails

lsp/server: the loop. The transport the messages ride on and the files behind imports and Base are passed in (transport/, files/); the checker behind the diagnostics is checker/bend.bend, called directly. The open documents are the loop's state. The checker runs on open and save, against the file on disk; the linter on every open, change and save, on the text the editor shows.
